Frannie's Gluten Free Re-Brand

CHALLENGE

Re-design Frannie's Gluten Free packaging to differentiate the brand and better capture its mission to bring a delicious alternative to those struggling with food allergies.

INSIGHT

The existing logo and color palette weren't representative of the colorful personality of the owner and as a result the packaging failed to stand out among its competitors.

SOLUTION

Rather than focusing solely on the packaging, re-brand Frannie's Gluten Free entirely and introduce bright colors and playful patterns to the natural/health foods market.


The colorful packaging paired vibrant hues with geometric patterns to represent each of the individual muffin flavors.

Two forms of packaging were created: the 4-pack is displayed in the natural foods freezer aisle in grocery stores, while the single pack is reserved for sale at food service counters (cafés, college cafeterias, hospitals, etc.).

The new brand identity was implemented across all materials, including business cards and sales sheets with product specification to provide a cohesive look and feel at every touchpoint.

Keeping in mind that the company was created to serve the food-allergy community, it was vital to prominently feature ingredients and nutrition fact labels, allowing consumers to make smart and safe choices for their health.
